5 OBS Plugins to Make Amazing & Unique Streams!

Today we’re looking at 5 awesome OBS Studio plugins that will help improve the production value of your streams!

TUNA

Tuna allows you to set up “Now Playing” album art, text, and progress bars from VLC or streaming services to create more engaging elements to your stream. Combine this with other shader effects or the Spectralizer plugin for some neat stuff.

Background Removal

The Background Removal plugin lets you set up a faux green screen and remove your background without needing an actual green screen.

My only issue with this plugin is that it doesn’t render the removed background as alpha, so you have to set the background color to green and then add a Chroma Key under “Effect Filters” to actually remove the background.

Time Warp Scan

If you’ve ever wanted to have TikTok effects in your stream, Time Warp Effect will help you get there.

Use the OBS-Filter-hotkeys LUA script to easily enable and disable this effect at will.

Face Tracker

This Face Tracker plugin is incredible. It performs super speedily and has great easing on its animation curves. It tracks your face panning and zooming in and out, and looks a lot nicer than Nvidia Broadcast.

Pixel Match Switcher

This one probably deserves its own video, but Pixel Match Switcher ships with its own fork of OBS for “Atomic-Effects” that enables a bunch of custom stuff.

The Pixel Match Switcher functionality specifically lets you detect a specific image or part of an image and perform an action based on that detection. You could blur your screen, switch scenes, activate an effect and more.
