Supposedly we’re getting new iPad Pros in April with M1-like chipsets and Thunderbolt 4 coming later this year. It remains to be seen how the M1 will differ from the 2020 iPad Pro, but Thunderbolt 4 could revolutionize file and accessory management on the iPad.
